September 2nd, 2023, First, we were enjoying a sunny afternoon in the hills outside Los Angeles. The sky was blue, and everything seemed peaceful.
While we were hiking, we saw smoke rising in the distance.
Then, the wind changed, and the smoke moved quickly toward us.
After that, we heard sirens and helicopters flying overhead. The fire was spreading fast!
When we were running back to the car, ash was falling like snow.
Finally, we escaped the area just in time. The road behind us closed minutes later.
