Explanation

The energy source for photosynthesis. It is used in the Light Dependent Reactions

The structure where photosynthesis takes place. Has an outer membrane, an inner membrane and an inner space filled wth fluid similar to cytoplasm.

Water (H2O) is taken in during the Light Dependent Reactions and split into hydrogen and oxygen using energy from the Sun.

The thylakoid membrane (inner membrane) is the site for the Light Dependent Reactions. It is a phospholipid bilayer and fluid mosaic just like the cell membrane. Stacks of of individual thylakoids are called grana.

The Light Dependent Reactions are where energy from sunlight splits water into hydrogen and oxygen. The oxygen is released as a waste product, while the energy form hydrogen is stored in NADPH and ATP

Oxygen (O2) is the waste product of the Light Dependent Reactions and is given off

Energy from the Light Dependent Reactions is stored in ATP which will be used to power the Light Independent Reactions/Calvin Cycle

Energy from the Light Dependent Reactions is stored in NADPH which will be used to power the Light Independent Reactions/Calvin Cycle and recycled as NADP+

The Light Independent Reactions/Calvin Cycle can take place with or without light...in light or dark. They take the energy from the Light Dependent Reactions (ATP and NADPH) and use it to put Carbon Dioxide (CO2) together to make sugars (G3P or glucose C6H12O6)

The stroma is the open, fluid-filled area inside the chloroplast where the Light Independent Reactions/Calvin Cycle take place.

Carbon Dioxide (CO2) is taken in and added to molecules already in the chloroplast. Through a series of reactions, sugars (G3P or C6H12O6) are made during the Light Independent Reactions/Calvin Cycle.

Sugars (G3P or C6H12O6) are the main product of photosynthesis and the Light Independent Reactions. Technically photosynthesis makes G3P...a 3 carbon sugar...which CAN make glucose (C6H12O6), but also can make other molecules the autotroph needs.
