How was your holiday ? Did you have a good time ? Claire : It was fantastic ! I went to a ski resort in the Alps . The were amazing ! How about you ? Did you get away anywhere ? George : Yes , I went to the beach ! It was so . The weather was perfect . I most of my time on the beach building with my cousins . Claire : That sounds lovely ! I was definitely missing the beach while I was at the ski resort , but the skiing was incredible . I had such a great time on the slopes . I even took a chairlift ride to get a better view of the mountains . George : That must have been stunning ! I mostly did along the coastline , exploring little towns near the beach . We also went on a boat tour to some nearby islands . Claire : I can imagine the views were gorgeous . On my trip , I did a lot of hiking too . One day we went on a challenging to the top of a peak . The view was breathtaking ! George : Hiking sounds intense , especially in the mountains . I just enjoyed the peaceful beach walks . Did you have to make any for anything ? Claire : Oh , yeah ! I had to make reservations for a couple of ski lessons in advance . The resort was pretty , so the earlier you book , the better . I also some spa treatments to relax after all the skiing . George : That sounds like a great idea ! I didn ? t have to book anything in advance for the beach , but we did make a for a nice seafood dinner at a restaurant by the shore . It was the perfect . Claire : That sounds ! The food at the resort was amazing too . After a long day of skiing , there ? s nothing better than a hearty meal . George : Yeah , after a day on the beach , I just wanted fresh seafood and coconut water . It sounds like we both had pretty holidays though , just in different ways . Claire : Definitely ! I ? d love to swap experiences sometime ? skiing for sandcastles ! George : Absolutely ! Maybe next time , we could do both . A beach day and a ski day ? now that would be an !
