We are tasked with trying to design & build a mousetrap car that can travel 1 tile in the hallway as fast as possible Not what we are doing in this project...building the 1st mousetrap car. Go back to step 3 and re-develop a solution based on my observations of how my mousetrap car idea performed Perform experiments on mousetrap cars AND learn science concepts around mousetrap cars to understand how they work The scientific method is the research section of the engineering design process Come up with an idea for a mousetrap car design that will travel 1 tile in the hallway as fast as possible AND then draw a labeled diagram of that idea (prototype) Take my mousetrap car design, go in the hallway, wind it up, and let the car go to see how it performs Stepwise process used to innovate a mousetrap car design by using scientific knowledge Watch the mousetrap car that I have designed AND look for areas where it can be improved Build my idea for a mousetrap car that will travel 1 tile fast.
