Go back to step 3 and re-develop a solution based on my observations of how my mousetrap car idea performed Stepwise process used to innovate a mousetrap car design by using scientific knowledge Stepwise process used to research how or why mousetrap cars work AND the science concepts behind them We are tasked with trying to design & build a mousetrap car that can travel 1 tile in the hallway as fast as possible Watch the mousetrap car that I have designed AND look for areas where it can be improved Come up with an idea for a mousetrap car design that will travel 1 tile in the hallway as fast as possible AND then draw a labeled diagram of that idea (prototype) The scientific method is the research section of the engineering design process Take my mousetrap car design, go in the hallway, wind it up, and let the car go to see how it performs Not what we are doing in this project...building the 1st mousetrap car.
