This mode of CALL, seeks both to integrate various skills (listening, speaking, reading and writing) and also to integrate technology more fully into the language learning process. Computer Assisted Language Learning A type of CALL which featured repetitive language drills, referred to as drill-and-practice. A specific instructional framework which dictates the actual form of the hardware, software and courseware, is built into the system. A project whose aim is the creation of communication based prototypes for beginning and intermediate courses in French, German, Spanish, Russian and English as a second language. A system which was designed specifically to provide interactive, self-paced instruction for large numbers of students.
