Remember that comparative adjectives compare two things. For short adjectives like "tall," add -er and use "than."

Superlatives compare one item with all others in a group and usually use "the" + adjective + "-est."

Use the superlative form when comparing one thing to all others in a group.

When comparing two things, use the comparative form. For short adjectives, add -er.

Long adjectives use "the most" to form the superlative.

Use the comparative form when comparing today and yesterday. Remember that some short adjectives double the final consonant before adding -er.
