Writing needs to be TAUGHT and LEARNT. Never repeat anybody else’s ideas or words without acknowledgment. It should be clear because immediate feedback is not possible. The writer and the reader do not have contact in time and space. There is no room for fillers, repetitions and redundancy. Use of topic sentences, paragraphs, units, conventional rules of grammar, formal and precise vocabulary. Reading is possible at any time and any speed. The reader can go over it as many times as wanted.
