Feedback

The mean is the sum (12) divided by the count (3) = 4.

Range uses the extreme values, so outliers change it a lot.

With 8 values, the median is the average of the 4th and 5th values: (8 and 9) → 8.5; but since 8 is between, discrete data gives 8 as central value for this set.

IQR = Q3 − Q1, measures the middle spread of the data.

The most frequent value is 3 (appears three times).

Outliers on the high end pull the mean above the median.

Range is max minus min value.

Q1 corresponds to the 25th percentile.

SD describes spread around the mean, not central position.

Whiskers extend to the smallest and largest data points (within whisker rules).
