por Elly Nguyen
1

Warm up Question

Imagine your boss suddenly asks you to train a new hire, but you’ve never done it before. How would you respond?

2

Facing challenges

  • Would you accept the challenge? If yes, what steps would you take to ensure the training is effective?
  • Or would you refuse? If so, what are the challenges or uncertainties that make you hesitate?

Think about how you might prepare the training. What information would you need, and how would you organize the course content?

3

Introduction to ADDIE Model

The ADDIE model is a systematic approach used in instructional design to create effective learning experiences. It stands for Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation—five key phases that guide the creation of training programs.

The ADDIE model is highly flexible and can be applied to a wide range of training scenarios, whether for new hires, skills development, or organizational change initiatives.

Questions to be asked:

  • Who is going to receive your training?
  • What will your training be?
  • When is it going to happen?
  • Where is it going to happen?
  • Why are you doing this?
  • How are you going to achieve this?

In details:

  • Creating the draft
  • Developing the training material
  • Completing a table top review
  • Running a training pilot
7

In details:

  • Collect training evaluation data
  • Review training effectiveness
  • Assess project performance
  • Report performance results
9

Wrap up

To conclude, the ADDIE model provides a structured and adaptable framework for creating effective training programs. From analyzing the learners' needs to evaluating the training’s success, each phase plays a crucial role in ensuring that the training meets its goals and drives meaningful results. Remember, no matter how experienced you are as a trainer, applying a systematic approach like ADDIE can help you design learning experiences that are clear, engaging, and impactful.

So, next time you're tasked with developing a training program, keep the ADDIE model in mind—it will guide you every step of the way!
