This activity is for grade 8 students. Topic: Six Parts of a Letter
RILEY, RILEY—SEND OR NOT YET?
Mechanics:
The teacher will call two students in front and ask them to stand back-to-back.
A sample letter will be shown on the TV screen. The students will examine whether the letter can already be sent or not, considering its structure and completeness.
After a few seconds, the class will count aloud:
“1, 2, 3… Riley, Riley!”
On the count of three, the two students will turn to face each other and say their answer:
“Send” if the letter is complete and properly arranged.
“Not Yet” if the letter has missing or incorrectly arranged parts.
If both students answer correctly, they will receive a coupon. If their answers are incorrect or do not match, the class will briefly discuss the correct answer before moving to the next round.
