He gasped, scanning for safety amid chaos. 7 The Palm Tree Rescue He opened his eyes to find himself in a palm tree, rescued by a Thai man while others ran in panic nearby. 8 Helicopter Aid From afar, a helicopter appeared. The pilot landed and rescued the stranded people, offering a glimmer of hope. 9 Safe on the Hills Half an hour later, they were safe in the hills, where the crowd grew and relief mixed with fear. 10 Reflection and Gratitude The narrator felt relief and loneliness fade into gratitude, while pity for locals who lost homes lingered after the ordeal.
