Are you cutting them off?* *If so,* why? and *If not,* don't you think friends should share the effort? 2 Deadbeat Your friend asks to borrow some money and says that they'll give it back next week. Next week comes and they say they had an emergency and need to borrow more money. Three weeks go by and you haven't gotten any back. Are you cutting them off? *If so,* would still try to get your money back? *If not,* what would you do if they kept on asking for money? 3 After Breakup You and your S.O. went through a pretty messy break-up. You then find out that your best friend has started seeing them a year after you broke up. Are you cutting them off? *If so,* would you feel somewhat betrayed? *If not,* would it be awkward to hang out with them? 4 Politics and Friendship You and your friend are talking about the news regarding politics. You notice that their political views have completely shifted since you became friends and you now see things totally differently , basically, you're on opposite ends of the political spectrum. Are you cutting them off? *If so,* how important is politics for your personal relationships? *If not,* would you avoid the topic completely in order to avoid controversy? 5 Feeling Left Out You're at home doing nothing on a Saturday night. You go on Instagram and see your friend hanging out with all of your other friends. This is the fourth time they've hung out without inviting you. Are you cutting them off? *If so,* why would being left out be enough to make that choice? *If not,* how would you handle feeling left out while still being friends? 6 Being Supportive *You always have your friend's back and comfort them when they're sad, but whenever you* are sad they're busy or don't have any comforting words for you. Are you cutting them off? If so,** why do you think "being there for friends" is so important for you? *If not,* would "always being the one who shows up" be exhausting for you at some point?
