Game Rules (Stand Up If It's True!) – English Version
In this activity, the teacher conducts a comprehension game called “Stand Up If It’s True!”. The teacher shows or reads aloud a series of sentences taken from the story. Students are asked to read the sentence, think about its meaning, and decide whether the information is true or false based on the story they have just read.
If the sentence is true, students respond by standing up. If the sentence is false, they remain seated. Students are encouraged to make their own decisions and not copy their classmates. Throughout the activity, the teacher provides immediate feedback such as “Correct! That’s true.” or “Good try, but this sentence is false.” to help reinforce understanding.
The activity continues until all sentences are read. At the end of the game, the teacher gives positive reinforcement and appreciation to students who consistently demonstrate good comprehension and accurate responses. This activity helps strengthen students’ reading comprehension in a fun, interactive, and movement-based way.
