Introduction to the Solar System

Welcome to the Solar System, a vast neighborhood of stars, planets, moons, comets, and icy bodies orbiting our radiant Sun see the picture whats is it.

2

The Sun

The Sun is a middle-aged star at the center, providing light and heat that shape the orbits and climates of all surrounding worlds.

3

Planets in Order

Eight planets orbit the Sun in distinct orbits, varying greatly in size, composition, and distance: from rocky Mercury to distant Neptune.

4

Inner vs Outer Planets

Inner planets are rocky and closer to the Sun; outer planets are gas or ice giants, far larger and with thick atmospheres.

5

Dwarf Planets

Besides eight planets, dwarf planets like Pluto exist, sharing similarities yet failing to clear their orbital paths.

6

Notable Features

Jupiter's Great Red Spot, Saturn's rings, and Uranus's tilted axis showcase diverse atmospheres and spectacular natural phenomena across the system.

7

Moons

Most planets host moons, from Earth's Moon to Jupiter's hundreds. Moons influence tides, orbits, and potential habitability in some worlds.

8

Asteroid Belt

The asteroid belt lies between Mars and Jupiter, a collection of rocky remnants from solar system formation that never formed into a planet.

9

Kuiper Belt & Oort Cloud

Beyond Neptune lie the Kuiper belt and the distant Oort cloud, reservoirs of icy bodies and long-period comets visiting inner planets.

10

Exploration & Future

Robotic missions and human exploration continue, mapping orbits, collecting data, and planning crewed journeys to nearby and far-off worlds.
