These exercises are focused on both the question and the answer. The answer will have two structures: 'Hace+tiempo+que+verbo en presente simple' y 'llevar+verbo en progresivo+tiempo' o 'llevar+tiempo+verbo en progresivo.'
Remember: ¿Hace cuánto tiempo vives aquí? = Literal: How much time does it make that you live here?
