It takes its name from the phrase “by time” (wal- ʿāṣr) por fatma fahmy 1 Indeed man is in loss, 2 and enjoin one another to [follow] the truth, and enjoin one another to patience. 3 By Time! 4 except those who have faith and do righteous deeds, إِنَّ الإِنسانَ لَفي خُسرٍ وَالعَصرِ وَتَواصَوا بِالحَقِّ وَتَواصَوا بِالصَّبرِ إِلَّا الَّذينَ آمَنوا وَعَمِلُوا الصّالِحاتِ
