Also known as HTTP. A Web Service is a method of communication between two electronic devices over a Network. It is a software function provided at a network address over the web with the service always on as in the concept of utility computing. The W#C defines a Web service generally as: a software system designed to support interoperable machine-to-machine interaction over a network. 3 WHAT IS DNS SERVICE? The Domain Name System (DNS) is a hiearchical distributed naming system for computers, services, or any resource connected to the internet or a private Network. It associates various information with Domain Names assigned to each of the participating entities.
