The King ruled the country which was divided in small areas ruled by a noble called Lord.

There were merchants that sold their products in the souk.

They were Muslims.

People produced everything they needed so there wasn't much trade.

Irrigated farming was very important.

They spoke arabic.

Society was divided in three groups: clergy, nobles and peasants.
