Throughout India's history , religion has been an important part of the country's . In the region it is mainly the Hindus who dominate while the northern region is greatly influenced by the religion . But instead of possessing such diverse religion and culture people have blended themselves beautifully .

Hinduism is the majority religion in the state and profoundly influences its structure , while ( Tibetan Buddhism ) is practiced by some ethnic groups ( for example Newar ) in forms which are strongly influenced by Hinduism .
