catch luggage return delayed office arrivals departures platform cancelled miss fares

I love travelling by train . It's relaxing and you can see a lot from the window . I usually travel light , so I don't have to carry heavy . I just take a small bag with me .

When I get to the station , I buy a ticket at the ticket . Then I go through the barrier and wait on the for the train . Sometimes the train is late , but usually it's on time . When the train arrives , I show my ticket to the conductor and find a seat . The train journey takes about two hours . I read a book or listen to music . If I'm hungry , I buy something to eat in the restaurant car .

Sometimes I the train , but sometimes I it ! Once I got up late and I had to run to the station . I arrived at the station just as the train was leaving , so I had to wait for the next one . My friend was waiting for me at the other end , but he didn't mind . He said : 'You're always late ! '

Usually the are very reasonable , but sometimes they're expensive . Last year I went to London for a meeting and I had to buy a ticket . It cost £150 ! That's the most I've ever paid for a ticket . I think I'll try to get a cheaper ticket next time !

The train stations are often very busy , especially in the morning and the evening . There are lots of people with suitcases rushing to catch their trains . At some stations there are shops and restaurants , so you can buy things while you're waiting . There are also some useful services like left luggage , and boards , and information desks . If there's a problem , like if your train is or , the staff are usually very helpful .
