Add the essential oils onto the cotton wick. Place the cotton wick in a glass bowl (cleaned after each use with soap and water then sprayed with rubbing alcohol and allowed to air dry). Drop your essential oils onto the cotton wick inside the glass bowl. Attempt to get all the oils on the wick. Add no more than 5-10 drops in total on each wick. (Example Ratio: 2 drops roman chamomile: 2 drops sweet orange: 1 drop lavender).

Insert the cotton wick into the nasal inhaler (that was already prepared) using the tweezers. If you drop the wick onto any surface other than the glass bowl, discard and start again. It is recommended to do this over the glass bowl in case of dropping.

Prepare the nasal inhaler. Ensure both a patient label and monograph containing your ratio and type of oils used, as well as the preparation date, and initialed with your designation as the registered staff who prepared it.

Assemble the inhaler stick by placing the cap on the bottom and pressing on it until it clicks in. Screw the lid onto the inhaler.

Pick up the cotton wick using tweezers. Using clean tweezers (cleaned after each use with soap and water then sprayed with rubbing alcohol and allowed to air dry)pick up the cotton wick from the glass bowl. Attempt to soak up any left over oil in the bowl with the cotton wick.
