Crucigrama Inappropriate Language Versión en línea Strategies to use with students who curses, cuss and use negative terms to insult others. por Melisa Ayala 1 Have the students go to a preassigned place and relax himself/herself. 2 Praise or otherwise reward the student for having demostrated appropoate behavior. 3 Help the students to recognize the cause of his misbehavior and identify more appropiate responses for this situation. 4 Have the student provide restitution for any physical/ emotional damage done. This payback may involve repair of items, an apology to another, or repayment for damage. 5 When a non acceptable action is displayed, remove a predetermined amount of reinforcer (eg free time, ) 6 Ask the students to identify the concequences of his disruptive behavior and compare them with the possible concequences of the desiired action. This analysis helps the students to see the benefits of proper behavior. 5 2 4 3 6 1
