The Day of the Dead, one of the most important festivities in Mexico, has its origins more than 500 years ago, in the union of traditions of pre-Hispanic culture with Catholic culture. It celebrates the temporary return to Earth of deceased relatives and loved ones, who arrive in the world of mortals.
For those days a very typical food is sweet bread or bread of the dead.
The main event will be the parade at the Sambadrome by the Samba schools. However, we can find countless street events and private parties for all tastes.
Barranquilla’s carnival is the biggest celebration of folklore in all Colombia and one of the world’s largest carnivals, with more than a hundred years of tradition. The festivities run for four days and Colombians and visitors alike party in the streets in a colorful celebration of Colombian culture. The streets of Barranquilla are filled with music, dancing and fun during the carnival with street parties, masked parades and celebrations of traditional music.
It was ratified by the Second Continental Congress on July 4, 1776, establishing the United States of America.
Independence Day is commonly associated with fireworks, parades, barbecues, carnivals, fairs, picnics, concerts, [2] baseball games, family gatherings, political speeches and ceremonies, in addition to various other public and private events celebrating the history, government, and traditions of the United States.
This event is reminiscent of the Bacchanal and Saturnalia festivals of the Roman Empire where attendees covered their faces to be able to enjoy freely without fear of being recognized. For 10 days, in the month of February, the streets of Venice are filled with feathered costumes,
masks, colors and harlequins contrast with the stone and bridges of Venice.
