As students for high school , they often think about going . We spoke with three high school students , names are Anni , William , and Sophie . They told us all about their exchange , and what it ? s really like to study ! William and Sophie came to Finland on exchange . Anni went to the USA , but she is now home .

Scene : Hi ! We ? re here today to talk about what it ? s like to be an exchange student . you could start by telling us all why you to go on exchange ?
Anni : Sure ! I thought that an exchange year would be an amazing . I ? d get to study in another country , and be a part of the there too .
William : I became an exchange student because I wanted to try something . I thought that it would be good for me to take some and do new things .
Sophie : I wanted to my ! I thought that an exchange would help me with that .

Scene : are all good ! So what was the biggest between school in your exchange country and school in your home country ?
Anni : Well the school that I went to in the was bigger than my Finnish school ! There were 2 , 500 students at my US school , and only about 400 here .
William : I thought that one of the biggest differences was the use of technology . You use technology a lot more in schools here than we do in Canada , where I ? m from .
Sophie : Yes , we were by that . Finland ? s school system is so ! , most teachers wouldn ? t let us use our phones in class . There was one teacher in who was very strict about that . she let William use his phone , because she has a soft for students from English - speaking countries !
William : Yeah , that was pretty sweet !

Scene : Lucky William ! So what would you say was the best thing about your new school ?
Anni : the school ! it was a football game or a concert , there were always students who came to their school , which I thought was awesome !
William : I thought that the best thing about school in Finland was that there ? s more in the that you can take . For example , back home we can ? t study philosophy or , which are subjects that I love .
Sophie : For me it was the teachers who me here , they were so friendly ! In Germany our teachers are kind of . But here in Finland they are more like your mother , so you can always go and talk to them . I also loved how some of the students came to school by tractor , that was !

Scene : Haha ! Well that all very ! So tell us , what do you think was the most thing you learned about yourself during your time on exchange ?
Anni : I learned that I ? m stronger and than I thought I was . Life as an exchange student was difficult sometimes , but the experience has made it easier for me to take , and just it !
William : . I learned to be more , to myself , and be who I am , not what everyone else wants me to be !
Sophie : Well I feel like I just got stronger this year . I think that I became more - , and more of an too !
Scene : ! So would you all becoming an exchange student then ?
Anni : For !
William : Oh yes !
