Common and Proper Nouns

Memory

(1)
Just like a matching card game, TSW match up common and proper nouns. We have been discussing this topic in class for weeks and have completed many activities in the classroom using this concept. For example, one card may say, teacher (common noun) and the proper noun card that would match it would be Ms. Eakes (proper noun). This concept has helped my students distinguish the difference between common and proper nouns but also in general reiterates what nouns are! Students will be working independently against themselves trying to get through the game! This game also works on problem solving skills through stimulating memory skills for students.
