Two phrasal verbs can't be separate. They have to be together.
Other phrasal verbs can be separate, and we can put an object between the two parts.
When we use a pronoun (him, it, them, etc.) with phrasal verbs that can be separated, we must put it between the two parts of the verbs.
I bump into an old friend.
We sort it out.
We sorted the problem out.
