It is divided between the brain and the spinal cord. They transmit responses from the central nervous system to the muscles and glands of the body. which is inside the skull. It has three main parts: the cerebrum, the cerebellum and the brain stem. Both the central and the peripheral nervous system are made up of specialised cells which is formed by nerves that transmit the information.
