Cows are considered as sacred by the Hindus and thus these animals are highly respected and honoured as they symbolise strength and provide life-giving milk. So do not wonder when you see cows wandering in the middle of the roads or somebody starts bowing to a cow!

Family values are important in traditional families and arranged marriage still play a big part especially in rural regions.

Indian food is generally spiced a lot and some regions are known for extremely hot and spicy food.

They eat meat but remember that different faiths do not allow their followers to eat certain types of meat. Cows are considered holy by the Hindu, thus many people will not eat beef. Beef is even banned in several states!

Food is eaten by Indians traditionally with the right hand, the left hand is only used for serving oneself. However, many Indians today also use cutlery such as forks and spoons.

They are a sub-group of Red Karen (Karenni people), Tibeto-Burman ethnic minority of Myanmar (Burma). Most of them are Kayan Lahwi (also called Padaung), the group in which women wear the brass neck coils

Girls first start to wear rings when they are around 5 years old. Over the years, the coil is replaced by a longer one and more turns are added. The weight of the brass pushes the collar bone down and compresses the rib cage. The neck itself is not lengthened; the appearance of a stretched neck is created by the deformation of the clavicle.

Some Akha women practice Ohaguro, the teeth blackening. It is mainly prevalent in older women, though the practice is still carried on by some younger women.

It is an indigenous African tribe of semi-nomadic people located primarily in Kenya and northern Tanzania, are probably one of the most familiar tribes of East Africa

Perhaps best known is the warrior "jumping" dance, where young Maasai morani (warrior-youth) leap into the air from a standing position, in order to demonstrate their strength and agility.
