EG
usually
occurs

bacteria

Proteus
species

coli

similar
lesions

The
characteristic
lesions
of
EG
are
hemorrhagic
vesicles
or
pustules
that
evolve
into
necrotic
ulcers
with
a
tender
erythematous
border
.
EG
was
first
described
in
association
with
Pseudomonas
septicemia
