Reading is possible at any time and any speed. Use of topic sentences, paragraphs, units, conventional rules of grammar, formal and precise vocabulary. The writer and the reader do not have contact in time and space. The reader can go over it as many times as wanted. It should be clear because immediate feedback is not possible. Writing needs to be TAUGHT and LEARNT. The idea of an audience generates contact. There is no room for fillers, repetitions and redundancy.
