8,000-1,000 B.C. This hunter gatherer group were nomadic at first then began to settle in semi permanent homes. They hunted small games with the spear and Atlatl, fished and created pottery.

1,000-1,600 A.D. This grew created permanent settled with palisades surrounding them. Organized into chiefdoms. Maize was the most important crop. Mound builders, burial of dead and adorned themselves with jewelry and tattoos.
1,000 B.C to 1,000 A.D. This culture settled in permanent homes. The first to grow their own food and invented the bow and arrow. Mound builders who buried their dead.
