Feedback

Shiny smooth surfaces like mirrors' are best examples.

Short-sighted people (with myopia) use these lens so they can see things clearer.

Magnifying glasses and binoculars use convergent lenses so we can see things bigger through them.

Through a divergent lens we see things smaller.

The refractive index is the speed and direction which light passes through a transparent substance.

We can see things because lights reflects on them, but on mirrors we can see even what is in front.

Transparency is about light passing through. Opacity is about light bouncing surfaces and reflecting.

Mirrors are shiny smooth opaque objects that reflects light so perfectly you can see what is in front.

This different substance can be liquid, like water or oil; solid, like lenses, or even gaseous, like some atmosphere layers.

Remember: We can not see THROUGH mirrors, but we see what is in front.
