Deoxyribonucleic acid, constituent of the genetic material.
Chromosome: consists of hundreds of genes; humans have 23 pairs.
Chromatide: Filament that constitutes the chromosomes, visible during the prophase and metaphase
Law of segregation: during meiosis the two alleles of each feature are separated.
They are the nucleotides of which the DNA is formed
Law of Dominance: A dominant gene determines the expression of a particular characteristic and prevents the expression of the recessive form of the gene.
Law of independent segregation: During the formation of gametes a random distribution of alleles occurs. Different alleles separate independently.
