Original Equipment Manufacturer is generally a manufactuerer that produces a part or finished good based on the design or specifications from another business.
This number is used to identify a part/material, categorize, search and locate a part based on their number - in most cases the IPN is relevant to AWS only and suppliers may not recognize our internal part number.

provide global product compliance analysis and guidance to ensure that all conformity assessments are satisfied in countries where AWS business exists or will expand.
Original Design Manufacturer has original designs that another business can choose from or make changes from in order to sell it as their own with the ODM producing the part/finished good for the business.
Is the identifier provided and created by the original manufacturer that supplies/procures/owns that part. Another term used for MPN is Model Number which can be similar or different to the MPN.
